SCNH COVID-19 Updates and Visiting Guidelines
To promote safe visits to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and to help ensure all residents are able to receive visitors we are requesting that you schedule your visit. Each resident is able to have 4 visitors depending on room space and up to 2 hours per visit. Pets and children are allowed. Indoor visitation is currently being conducted in our East Wing. This allows for better infection control precautions and privacy.
All visitors will be screened at the table by entryway. A staff member will take the visitors temperature and visitors will need to answer the COVID screening questions before visiting with the resident. Masks or face covering is required. Hand hygiene is also required before visits.
CMS and CDC continue to recommend facilities, residents, and families adhere to the core principles of COVID-19 infection control, including physical distancing (maintaining at least 6 feet between people). This continues to be the safest way to prevent the spread of COVID-19, particularly if either party has not been fully vaccinated. If the resident is fully vaccinated, they can choose to have close contact (Including touch) with their visitor while wearing a well-fitting face mask and performing hand hygiene before and after.
**These rules are subject to change based on any new guidelines from CMS, OR an outbreak of COVID-19 within our facility.
A pre-scheduled time is NOT required for: compassionate visits, window visits, and phone calls.
A pre-scheduled time IS required for: Indoor/Outdoor visits, Facetime, Google duo, Skype and Zoom
